Good grief!
They brought it back... and at such a busy time!
.... touched as well as astonished! A beaming postman showed up just now with the lost post and please disregard all my earlier clowning because he really did appear to care - actually knew what was in the parcel from colleagues (who presumably were the ones who had had to listen to my plan to skewer anyone I saw walking about wearing it from every angle with my knitting needles when I was over visiting my son).
But I really was moved at how pleased the postal staff were on our behalves - such nice guys!
Not the first time I've had reason to be grateful to them either.
